Manzeque Traditional Chilean children’s jump-roping song

More nonsense, different country. This song was learned from Ariane Lydon, who was raised in Chile and France and speaks Chilean Spanish with a charming French accent. We would like to provide the additional disclaimer that some of the song is nonsense words and some of the words are just nonsense... (a partial translation: “the chicken, the chicken, the chicken from Japan”). Percussion on this song includes Rich tapping his foot on the base of the microphone stand (“base” drum) while wielding shakers in both hands and singing. Jacquie is playing an Irish pipe flute, then switching to penny whistle, then playing TWO whistles simultaneously (great parlor trick) -- and singing. Talk about yer multi-tasking..
